The Extremist

Our school reminds me of an army-run country. There are a group of Commanders who use their Lieutenants to run the system. Efficient, crisp and always the taskmaster.

I do acknowledge the effectiveness of this system. They say that the system works for the people, and have proved it with certain examples of personality development and such. All that is okay till the limit that the students feel all this authoritarianism has somewhat silenced our personal opinion and views.

The entire system, to tell the fact, works on a rather vindictive method of instilling fear and submission. They may not know of it, but it certainly has instilled fear in the people to speak for themselves.

People may agree or disagree, and may show their blatant ego fueled by authoritarianism by calling this article crap or bullshit. Some might also take the option of censorship and bans, which is equally despicable. Whatever it is, I am not afraid to speak for myself. This is my view. Share it, despise it, ignore it, your business. If you’re still reading this it’s a miracle in itself.

Another strikingly similar situation is this lack of speech. We have a freedom to speak out what we feel. Let it be any emotion, even the most negative of all reactions must be heard to. “Oppressing disagreement is a display of vulgar power” as quoted by anti-authoritarian band Pantera. We lack what I call a ‘media’ to voice our thoughts.

Let me not make baseless statements. I have seen the enormous number of people in the classes, and let me tell you, hardly 15 of them have worked hand in hand with the school and have developed their personalities and all such stuff. The rest are a forgotten crowd. They will pass out, get their certificates and will be unknown to anyone in the system, forever. Who knows, one might deviate a bit and end up committing suicide or crime. It’s a true fact of life that slaps you cold in the face. Reading this might leave you unsettled, but don’t be scared. Learn to speak for yourselves. This is a fault of our own.

When the crowds are forgotten, the ones in favor are the only ones with a true liberty. They run the system, they make the rules. The rest eat what is offered to them. I distrust such authority. I am not here to lead a mass of people or anything. I don’t want to walk ahead and show the way nor do I want to follow any such megalomaniac. All I want is to walk side by side, with the people.

The Cabinet has been made. But no votes have been cast. We need a Lok Sabha right now. All I can do for this is be your Speaker or your ‘media’. I have nothing more than amendments to offer to the society.
Further articles shall come when needed.
